Game of Thrones Star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Other Celebs at the Middle East Film and Comic Con Gifting Lounge
This year’s Middle East Film and Comic Con (Mefcc) 2016 hosted a VIP gifting lounge catering to visiting celebrities, giving them a chance to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the three-day expo.
Guests were able to unwind and experience a number of home-grown concepts raging from food to clothing. Kris Fade and Priti Malik, Virgin Radio’s favourite duo, grabbed hats from Emirati trucker-cap brand Caliente, along with some original prints from Drawdeck, an e-commerce and retail platform that offers eclectic artwork from the world’s most exciting independent artists.
Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd was almost certainly an instant fan of Drawdeck as well, most probably due to the fact that they presented him a framed portrait of himself!
Pro Wrestler Randy Orton was also seen picking up goodies from Caliente. Let’s see if he wears one of their hats in the ring.
Game of Thrones’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, more commonly known as Jaime Lannister, had two hands to spare at the GCA lounge, and used them wisely. The actor was seen munching on home-grown dessert brands Monkey Cookies and The Brownie Box.
Dubai-based style blogger and Ahlan! columnist Tala Samman and Virgin Radio’s Big Rossi were also seen picking up goodies from The Brownie Box, making it one of the most popular pit-stops among guests at the lounge.
Filipina cosplayer, model, TV presenter, singer, and actress Alodia Almira Arraiza Gosiengfiao spent her time at the lounge being pampered by Tips & Toes, the largest Beauty and Spa centre in the Middle East.
Celebrity journalist Raya Abirached, most well-known for The Scoop with Raya, spends her days rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Now, she might be doing so in creations by Ayaso Boutique. Raya was spotted trying on some of the brand’s uniquely crafted kimonos, wraps and capes. Will we be seeing them on the red carpet?
With world-renown celebrities dropping by, and lots offree goodies, the Comic Con VIP Lounge was definitely the place to be to wind down, and escape the brilliant madness that was Mefcc, just for a little bit.
